Processor options range from AMD Athlon XP 2400+ operating at 2.0-GHz, to XP 3000+ operating at 2.17 GHz. Memory options range from 128 MB to 2 GB, and hard drive options range from 40 GB to 60 GB. Operating systems included Microsoft Windows 2000, XP Professional, XP Home or Mandrake Linux 9.1.1 The mini-tower's communications features includes an integrated 3Com 10/100 Fast Ethernet Controller for local area networking and a Lucent V.90 56K Win Modem for dialup connections.
Pricing for the HP Business Desktop d325 starts at $499. The most popular configuration is priced at $669 and consists of AMD's Athlon XP model 2200+ processor (1.8 gigahertz), 40-gigabyte hard drive, 256-megabyte DDR (double data rate) SynchDRAM, 48x CD-ROM drive, six USB 2.0 ports and comes with Microsoft Windows XP Professional.
The HP Business Desktop d325 comes with a 3-year parts and labor warranty, which includes on-site service and around-the-clock telephone support. The d325 is now available directly from HP or can be ordered through authorized resellers.

In related news, HP announced that it continues to lead in worldwide notebook computer sales, according to new research from IDC. For the second consecutive quarter HP is ranked as the leading vendor of worldwide notebook unit sales with 15.9 percent of the market in the first quarter of 2003. HP gained 1.1 points in share on 6 percent unit growth.

Dell leads the U.S. market and is No. 2 in worldwide notebook sales.
