PayCycle, a payroll solution designed for small businesses, announced product availability in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The company also announced integration with Intuit's Quicken and Microsoft Money.
With PayCycle's new synchronization feature, Quicken and Money customers should receive payroll guidance through PayCycle's e-mail reminders, to do list and instructions, and be able to better keep accurate accounting records.
According to PayCycle, nearly 85 percent of small businesses choose to keep payroll in-house due to the high cost of outsourced offerings and a desire to stay in control of the payroll process. At the same time, completing payroll in-house forces small businesses to keep up with a myriad of complex payroll regulations that are constantly changing, leaving the small business on their own and vulnerable to tax penalties. According to the Internal Revenue Service, small businesses paid over $1.5 billion in tax penalties last year.
With monthly service fees as low at $19.99, PayCycle's self-service system is designed to guide users through the payroll process, send e-mail reminders when tax payments and filings are due, and calculate paychecks instantly which can either be printed or sent as a direct deposit. PayCycle service also provides pre-filled federal tax forms and payment coupons, and allows users to pay their federal taxes electronically. State tax forms are available for an additional fee.
"By integrating with Quicken and Money, we make it easier than ever for users of these popular programs to run their own payroll," said Rene Lacerte, CEO of PayCycle. "PayCycle blends the best features of payroll software and a fully-outsourced payroll service, making it ideal for small businesses and accountants who want an easy, affordable and feature-rich service."
